Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate from a recognized university in Chemistry, Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Animal/Veterinary Science, Fisheries Science, Biotechnology, Food Safety, Food Technology, Food and Nutrition, Dairy Technology, or Oil Technology.
Mandatory Professional Requirements:
- Must have passed the Food Analyst Examination conducted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in food analysis.
Age Limit (As of August 1, 2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years for General (Male), 40 years for General (Female) / BC / EBC, and 42 years for SC / ST.

Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): An objective exam featuring 100 multiple-choice questions (2-hour duration) based on the graduate-level Food Analyst curriculum. A negative marking penalty of 0.25 marks applies for each incorrect answer.
- Document Verification & Merit Listing: Final selection is based on the normalized scores from the online written test.
