Educational Qualification Requirements
Candidates must meet the following academic requirements according to the chosen post:
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized Board.
- Forest Guard: Passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with science from a recognized Board.
- Technician (Field / Lab Research): 10+2 with science stream having minimum 60% marks in aggregate OR 10th Pass with ITI certificate in relevant trade.
- Technician (Maintenance): 10th Pass with ITI certificate / 3-year Diploma in relevant engineering trades (Electrician, Plumber, IT, Instrumentation, Welder, etc.).
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 12th Pass from a recognized board with a minimum typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi on computer.
- Store Keeper: Passed 12th Class (10+2) from a recognized Board.
- Stenographer Grade-II: 12th Pass with Shorthand speed of 80 WPM in English/Hindi and typing proficiency.
- Technical Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) in Forestry / Botany / Chemistry / Zoology or relevant discipline from a recognized University.
- Library Information Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science from a recognized University.

Physical Standards for Forest Guard
- Male Candidates: Height: 163 cm (min) | Chest: 81 cm unexpanded / 86 cm expanded | Walking Test: 25 km in 4 hours.
- Female Candidates: Height: 150 cm (min) | Weight: 45 kg (min) | Walking Test: 14 km in 4 hours.
Selection Process
The evaluation procedure includes:
- Stage 1 (CBT / Written Examination): Objective test covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, General Awareness, and Domain/Technical Subjects (depending on the post).
- Stage 2 (Descriptive / Skill / Trade / Physical Test): Typing test for LDC, Shorthand test for Stenographer, Trade test for Technicians, and Physical Endurance test for Forest Guard.
