Salary & Pay Levels

Selected candidates will be placed in the regular 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix alongside admissible allowances (DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, etc.):

  • Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant-A: Placed under Pay Level-7 with an approximate starting gross remuneration of ₹44,900/- per month.
  • Technician-B / Draughtsman-B: Placed under Pay Level-3 with an approximate starting gross remuneration of ₹21,700/- per month.
  • Cook-A: Placed under Pay Level-2 with an approximate starting gross remuneration of ₹19,900/- per month.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational & Professional Qualifications:
    • Technical Assistant: First-Class Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Electronics / Mechanical) from a recognized State Board or Technical Institute.
    • Scientific Assistant: First-Class B.Sc. Degree with the respective domain (Computer Science or Mathematics) as the primary subject.
    • Technician-B & Draughtsman-B: Must have completed SSLC/SSC/Matriculation (Class 10) plus a valid regular ITI / NTC / NAC certificate in the matching trade issued by NCVT.
    • Library Assistant-A: Graduate degree along with a First-Class Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science.
    • Cook-A: Matriculation/Class 10 pass accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of verified professional experience in a well-established hotel, canteen, or public establishment.
  • Age Limit (As of July 20, 2026):
    • Minimum Age: 18 Years
    • Maximum Age: 35 Years
    • Upper Age Relaxations: Extended by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates strictly per Government of India directives.

Application & Processing Fee Matrix

The fee structure features an upfront deposit framework with a conditional refund rule post-examination:

  • Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant-A:
    • Total Upfront Payment: ₹750/- (Non-refundable application fee of ₹250/- + Initial processing fee of ₹500/-).
    • Refund Rule: The processing fee of ₹500/- will be refunded to candidates who appear for the written test.
  • Technician-B / Draughtsman-B / Cook-A:
    • Total Upfront Payment: ₹500/- (Non-refundable application fee of ₹100/- + Initial processing fee of ₹400/-).
    • Refund Rule: The processing fee of ₹400/- will be refunded to candidates who appear for the written test.
  • Payment Mode: Online transactions via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI.

Selection Process

The screening configuration manages selection through two primary performance tiers:

  1. Written Examination / Computer-Based Test (CBT):
  • Technical / Scientific / Library Assistant & Technician/Draughtsman cadres: An objective paper containing 80 MCQs with a 1.5-hour duration. The marking standard allocates +1 mark for a correct answer and a penalty deduction of 0.33 marks for an incorrect choice.
  • Cook-A cadre: Mapped via 60 MCQs with a 1.5-hour duration (+1 and -0.33 marking).
  1. Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates matching the written test cut-off parameters will face a practical, hands-on trade evaluation test (strictly qualifying in nature). Final merit rankings rely completely on written test marks.
