Salary & Pay Level
- Pay Scale: ₹67,300 – ₹1,73,200/- per month (Pay Level-17 of the state matrix).

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational & Professional Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree: A 2-year regular Master’s Course with at least 55% marks from a recognized university in any school teaching subject, along with Honours at the Graduation level.
- Professional Qualification: M.Ed. / M.Ed. (Elementary) with at least 55% marks OR M.A. in Education with 55% marks along with a regular Diploma/Degree in Primary or Elementary Education, securing a minimum of 55% marks.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of active teaching experience in a recognized Primary or Elementary Teachers’ Training Institute.
- Mandatory Language & Technical Skills:
- The ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement (not mandatory for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali, unless specifically stated). Language proficiency will be tested during the interview phase.
- Verified acquisition of basic Computer Literacy.
- Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026):
- Maximum Age: 42 Years
- Upper Age Relaxations: Extended by 5 years for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Category A & B) candidates of West Bengal. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) have an upper limit relatable up to 45 years.
- Note: Category benefits and age relaxations are strictly restricted to West Bengal residents only. SC/ST/OBC applicants from other states will be treated under the general category.

Selection Process
The commission implements a dual-tier framework for these leadership administrative positions:

- Personal Interview: The core evaluation ground. The final merit ranking and subsequent institutional recommendations sent to the School Education Department are calculated solely on the marks secured during the face-to-face interview.
- Document Verification: Verification of original academic certificates, teaching experience statements, language assessments, and statutory domicile proofs.
