Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has released an official notification for the engagement of 750 Apprentices for the financial year 2026–27. Eligible graduate candidates can apply online for the Apprentice posts through the official application portal.
The online application process will begin on 7 July 2026. Candidates can submit their applications until 20 July 2026.

Vacancy Details
Indian Overseas Bank will engage a total of 750 Apprentices across different states and Union Territories.
West Bengal has 35 Apprentice vacancies.
Candidates can apply for only one State or Union Territory. Applicants are advised to choose their home State or Union Territory while applying.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
For NATS-registered candidates, the graduation result must have been declared between 1 March 2022 and 31 July 2026.
Application Fee
- SC, ST and PwBD candidates have to pay ₹236, including GST.
- Female candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories have to pay ₹708, including GST.
- Male candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories have to pay ₹944, including GST.
Selection Process
- The selection process will include an online written examination, a local language test, and document verification or personal interaction.
- The online written examination will consist of 100 objective-type questions for 100 marks. The duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.
- The test will include questions from General and Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude, and Computer or Subject Knowledge.
- Candidates applying for a particular State or Union Territory must be proficient in the local language of that area. Candidates who have studied the required local language up to Class 10 or Class 12 may be exempted from the local language test.
Stipend
- Selected Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend based on the branch category.
- Apprentices posted in Metro branches will receive ₹15,500 per month.
- Apprentices posted in Urban branches will receive ₹14,500 per month.
- Apprentices posted in Semi-Urban and Rural branches will receive ₹14,000 per month.

How to Apply
Candidates must first register on the NAPS portal or the NATS portal.
After registration, candidates should visit the Indian Overseas Bank Careers page or the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India portal and apply for the Apprentice recruitment.
Candidates should enter their NAPS or NATS enrolment number while filling out the application form. They must upload the required documents, pay the applicable fee, and submit the form before the deadline.
Applicants should keep a copy of the submitted application form for future reference.
Important Note
Candidates should read the official notification carefully before applying. The apprenticeship engagement is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961, and selected candidates will not be eligible for regular employment benefits or allowances available to permanent bank employees.
