- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years.

Selection Process
- Application Screening: Shortlisting based on fundamental eligibility parameters.
- Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted applicants must present themselves at the Howrah Court premises on June 20, 2026, to receive an on-the-spot interview slip/admit card one hour before the assessment.
- Required Documents (Self-Attested Photocopies)
Completely filled-out application form (Prescribed layout available in the official PDF notice) - Class 8th pass certificate or school transfer certificate (as proof of educational qualification and age)
- Character/Nationality certificate or Residential Certificate proving Howrah residency
- Identity Proof ([Aadhaar Redacted] / Voter ID / PAN Card / Passport)
- Two recent passport-size colored photographs
- Mandatory Affidavit: An affidavit affirming that no legal cases are pending against you at any establishment under the Howrah Judgeship (including Amta and Uluberia sub-divisions).
How to Apply
- Visit the official online portal of the district court: howrah.dcourts.gov.in.
- Go to the “Notice -> Recruitments” tab and download the detailed application form attachment under Employment Notice No. 01-2026.
- Print the application form and fill in your details (Name, DOB, address, contact details) carefully in block letters.
- Affix your recent photograph and sign the declaration.
- Compile all the requested self-attested documents and your affidavit alongside the application form inside a sealed cover.
- Write “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF KARMABANDHU FOR HOWRAH COURT” on top of the envelope.
- Dispatch the package to The District Judge, Howrah, West Bengal, or submit it directly via the physical drop box at the English Department of the Howrah Court before 10 June 2026.
