A total of 1,688 tentative vacancies have been announced across participating RRBs in Level-2 and Level-3 pay matrices.

Post-Wise Pay Level Breakdown

Educational Qualifications

  • Academic Qualification: Passed Class 12th (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council.
  • Typing Skill Requirement: Typing proficiency in English (minimum 30 WPM) or Hindi (minimum 25 WPM) on a computer is mandatory for clerical typist posts (Junior Clerk cum Typist and Accounts Clerk cum Typist).

Age Limit (As on 01.01.2027):

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Age Relaxations: Standard upper age relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process

  1. 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-1): Screening examination comprising General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.
  2. 2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-2): Scoring examination for candidates shortlisted from Stage-1.
  3. Computer-Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST): Qualifying typing examination for typist posts.
  4. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination: Scrutiny of original educational credentials followed by medical tests strictly matching the prescribed railway standard (A-3, B-2, or C-2 based on post type).

  • Create an account via One-Time Registration (OTR) using your active mobile number and valid email ID.
  • Verify your Aadhaar details (ensure your name and date of birth match your Class 10th certificate).
  • Log in and select the application link for CEN No. 07/2026 (NTPC Undergraduate).
  • Enter personal details, academic scores, community category, and post preferences.
  • Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph, signature, and category certificate (if applicable).
  • Pay the applicable examination fee using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
