- Junior Engineer (JE): Available across technical branches including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Signal & Telecommunication (S&T), Information Technology (IT), and Track Machine / Bridge divisions.
- Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Stores Department.

Educational Qualification Requirements
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications from a recognized Board, Technical Council, or University on or before September 13, 2026:
- For Junior Engineer (JE):
- Three-year Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline (Civil / Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Computer Science / IT or allied combinations).

- Four-year Bachelorâs Degree in Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. Engg.) in relevant engineering branches.
- For Depot Material Superintendent (DMS):

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of four sequential stages:
- 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-I):
- Screening examination carrying 100 objective MCQs (90 minutes duration) covering Mathematics (30 Qs), General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 Qs), General Awareness (15 Qs), and General Science (30 Qs).
- 2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-II):
- Technical examination carrying 150 objective MCQs (120 minutes duration) covering General Awareness (15 Qs), Physics & Chemistry (15 Qs), Basics of Computers & Applications (10 Qs), Environment & Pollution Control (10 Qs), and Technical Abilities of the chosen exam group (100 Qs).
- A negative marking of 1/3rd mark applies for every incorrect answer in both CBT-I and CBT-II.
- Document Verification (DV): Scrutiny of original educational credentials, certificates, and identity cards.
- Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical fitness assessment strictly in accordance with Railway Medical Standards (A-3, B-1, or B-2 standards depending on the post).
