- Cross Country (Women): 04 Posts (10 km event)
- Hockey (Women): 04 Posts (3 Defenders, 1 Goalkeeper)
- Football (Men): 03 Posts (1 Left Fullback, 1 Left Winger, 1 Right Winger)
- Wrestling Men (Freestyle): 03 Posts (57 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg — 1 each)
- Weightlifting (Women): 03 Posts (53 kg, 63 kg, 86 kg — 1 each)
- Cricket (Men): 02 Posts (1 Top Order Batsman, 1 Fast Bowler)
- Athletics (Women): 02 Posts (800 Meters, Discus Throw)
- Athletics (Men): 01 Post (1500 Meters)
- Hockey (Men): 01 Post (Midfielder position)
Salary & Pay Structure
Appointees receive standard salaries paired with initial training guidelines depending on their designated recruitment grade:
- Level-4 or Level-5 Posts: Base pay band scale with a starting Grade Pay of ₹2,400 / ₹2,800.
- Level-2 Posts (e.g., Technician-III tracks): Starting Grade Pay of ₹1,900.
- Level-1 Posts (e.g., Office / General Assistant): Starting Grade Pay of ₹1,800.
- Note: Appointees entering technical tracks without a pre-existing technical ITI credential must complete a mandatory training framework of up to two years on a fixed stipend before permanent alignment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational & Technical Qualifications:
- Level-4 / Level-5 Posts: Must possess a valid Graduation Degree from a recognized university. Computer typing proficiency in English or Hindi is essential.
- Level-2 Posts: Passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent. For Technician-III posts, a completed Act Apprenticeship or an ITI certificate in the relevant trade is required.
- Level-1 Posts: Passed Class 10 (Matriculation) OR hold an ITI certificate OR possess a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- Sports Performance Norms:
- Candidates must satisfy individual performance criteria (Category B/C sports benchmarks) representing the country in international meets, or securing medal positions in Senior/Junior National Championships, Federation Cups, or All India Inter-University Tournaments. All achievements must have been earned within the specified current cycles.
- Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
- Important Condition: No upper or lower age relaxations are permissible for any category under this open advertisement selection scheme.

Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹500/-
- SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Women / Minorities / EBC Candidates: ₹250/- (Fee concession applies as per guidelines)
- Note: Separate application sets and fees must be processed if an athlete is applying for more than one sport/event classification.
Selection Process
The evaluation skips conventional written exams, focusing directly on past sports performance and on-field evaluation:
- Sports Certificate Assessment: Evaluating recognized sports credentials and certificates (Maximum 50 Marks).
- Field Trials: Practical sports trial checking game skills, physical fitness levels, and technical observation by a team coach (Maximum 40 Marks).
- Educational Profile: Assessment of academic heights and credentials (Maximum 10 Marks).
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score at least 70 marks for Level-4/5, 65 marks for Level-2, and 60 marks for Level-1 to be considered for final merit placement.
How to Apply
- Download the prescribed offline application format directly from the authorized corporate railway website framework.
- Cleanly fill out the form sections by hand using blue or black ballpoint ink.
- Affix your signatures in both English and Hindi, along with your left-hand thumb impression, inside the designated layout boxes at the bottom edge.
- Attach a recent passport-size photograph (duly attested) and append self-attested photocopies of your educational marksheets, technical training sheets, age proofs, and relevant sports achievement credentials.
- Pay the application fee online or through the authorized payment mode and attach the printed receipt copy inside the folder.
- Place the complete document bundle inside an envelope and clearly write the phrase: “RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2026-2027 IN LEVEL-01, LEVEL-02 and LEVEL-4/5” across the top facing surface.
- Dispatch the envelope via post to the designated Office of the General Manager (Personnel), Recruitment Cell ensuring it arrives physically before the closing timeline on 14 July 2026 (5:00 PM).
