Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- High School and Intermediate qualifications with Biology from a recognised board, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government.
- A 2-year 3-month Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy from a recognised university or institution established by law in India.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script.
- At present, registration with a Veterinary Pharmacy Council is not required under the stated eligibility conditions.
Preferential Qualification
Preference may be given to candidates who possess either of the following qualifications, subject to the prescribed rules:
At least 2 years of service in the Territorial Army, or
National Cadet Corps (NCC) ‘B’ Certificate.
Age Limit
The prescribed age limit is:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
The age is calculated according to the prescribed government rules for the recruitment year.
Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved and other categories as per applicable government rules.
Salary
Selected Veterinary Pharmacists will be placed in Pay Level 5.
Pay Scale: ₹29,200–₹92,300
Pay Level: Level 5
Other allowances and service benefits will be applicable according to the prevailing rules.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the prescribed online processing fee.
- Application/Processing Fee: ₹25
- The same processing fee applies at the initial application stage across the listed categories.
- Candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination will have to pay the prescribed Main Examination fee separately before downloading the Main Examination admit card.
Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted in two major stages:
1. PET-2025 Based Shortlisting
Candidates will first be shortlisted for the Main Examination on the basis of their normalized PET-2025 scores.
Shortlisting will generally be carried out category-wise up to the prescribed ratio of candidates against the available vacancies.
2. Main Written Examination
Shortlisted candidates will appear for the Veterinary Pharmacist Main Examination.
The written examination will consist of:
Veterinary Pharmacist subject-related knowledge
Computer and Information Technology
General information related to the prescribed syllabus
The examination will contain 100 objective questions for 100 marks and will have a duration of 2 hours.
There will be negative marking of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.
