Salary Scale

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or a related field from a recognized university.
Eligible degrees include:
- B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture / B.Sc Agriculture
- B.Sc Horticulture / B.Sc (Hons) Horticulture
- B.Sc Forestry / B.Sc (Hons) Forestry
- B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering)
- B.Sc (Home Science) / Community Science (4-year degree track from an Agricultural University)
Mandatory Examination Requirement: Must have appeared in the UPSSSC PET 2025 exam and hold a valid scorecard with positive (non-zero/non-negative) normalized marks.
Age Limit (As of July 1, 2026): 21 to 40 years. Standard upper age relaxations apply for SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved categories as per state regulations.
Exam Pattern (Main Written Test)
The examination will consist of a single objective-type paper with 100 questions to be answered in 2 hours (120 minutes). A negative marking penalty of 0.25 (1/4th) marks applies for each wrong answer.

- Soil & Water Conservation: 15 Questions
- Agriculture Extension: 5 Questions
- Agriculture Economics & Schemes: 5 Questions

- General Knowledge (UP State Special): 20 Questions
