Eligibility Criteria
- Educational & Language Qualifications:
- Prison Warder: Passed Class 12 (10+2 Intermediate) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized school board.
- Assistant Superintendent Jail: A graduation degree (Bachelor’s degree) in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Mandatory Language Condition: All candidates must have studied and passed Hindi or Sanskrit as a core or elective subject at the Matriculation (Class 10th) level or during higher education tiers.
- Age Limit (As of the application window timelines):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 42 Years
- Upper age relaxation applies strictly for reserved social classes, home guards, and ex-servicemen, matching the standing state government policy rules.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) Standards
Candidates applying for these prison service cadres must satisfy the absolute physical metric benchmarks:
- Male Candidates (General): Minimum Height of 170 cm; Chest size measuring 83 cm (Un-expanded) to 87 cm (Expanded).
- Male Candidates (Reserved): Minimum Height of 168 cm; Chest size measuring 81 cm (Un-expanded) to 85 cm (Expanded).
- Female Candidates (General): Minimum Height of 158 cm (Chest measurements are not applicable).

Selection Process
The selection cycle utilizes a multi-stage physical and academic filtering process:
- CET Qualification Screening: Verification of baseline eligibility score thresholds in the preliminary state CET Group C pool.
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Checking the required biological height and chest structures.
- Physical Screening Test (PST): Standard running and endurance drills (strictly qualifying in nature).
- Written Examination: An offline, OMR-based written test containing 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying equal marks with a total duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes. The minimum qualifying benchmark is set at 50% marks for General category applicants and 40% for horizontal/vertical reserved streams.
