Salary Details
- Pay Scale: Level-5 (29,200 – 92,300/- per month)
Educational & Technical Qualifications:
- Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics from a recognized Board or University.
- Must possess a 2-year Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology (or equivalent qualification) from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory Language Condition: Candidates must have studied and passed Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject at the Matriculation (Class 10th) level or its equivalent.
Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 37 Years for the General Category.
Upper age relaxation applies strictly as per Punjab State rules: up to 42 years for SC/BC of Punjab, 45 years for State/Central Govt employees, and 47 years for PwD candidates.

Selection Process
- Written Examination (OMR-Based MCQs): An objective test divided into two specific modules:
- Part B: Subject Matter & General Knowledge Evaluation. This part determines your ranking on the absolute merit list.
- Counselling & Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to verify their original educational credentials and category certificates.
- Medical Fitness & Board Allotment.
How to Apply
- Visit the official online application dashboard of the board: sssb.punjab.gov.in.
- Click on the “Online Applications” tab located on the primary navigation sidebar.
- Select the link corresponding to “Veterinary Inspector Recruitment 2026 (Advt No. 10/2026)”.
- Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) module by providing a working mobile number and email ID to obtain your system login credentials.
- Log back into the student terminal block and fill out your personal information, local residency parameters, academic percentages, and veterinary diploma details.
- Upload scanned copies of a recent passport-size colored photograph, signature, and supportive certificate blocks.
- Remit the application registration fee online using Credit/Debit cards, Net Banking, or standard UPI channels.
- Verify your input parameters and click Submit. Make sure to print out the final computer-generated application summary sheet before the closing date on 19 June 2026.
