Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational & Professional Qualifications (Post-Wise):
    • Clerk-Typist & Tax Assistant: Must hold a Graduation Degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in any discipline from a recognised university.
      • Mandatory Skill Standard: Valid certificate from a Government Commercial Certificate examination or equivalent showing typing speeds of Marathi at 30 wpm OR English at 40 wpm (For Tax Assistant positions, clearing typing benchmarks across both streams is preferred).
    • Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI): Must have passed SSC (Class 10th standard) or equivalent, along with a minimum 3-year full-time Diploma or Degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised technical institution.
    • General Cadres: A graduation degree alongside post-specific trade markers detailed inside the explicit regulatory instructions.
  • Age Limit (Evaluated as of October 1, 2026):
    • Minimum Age: 19 Years (18 years baseline applies exclusively to the Tax Assistant cadre).
    • Maximum Age: 38 Years for General / Unreserved category applicants.
    • Upper Age Relaxations: Extended up to 43 years for reserved communities (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and Orphans) and up to 45 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Special parameters apply for experienced ex-servicemen.

Selection Process

The filtering system evaluates candidates using a clean multi-tiered structure with zero personal interview requirements:

  1. Combined Preliminary Examination (100 Marks): An objective screening test utilising a Computer-Based Test (CBT) setup containing 100 General Aptitude questions. This tier is strictly qualifying in nature.
  2. Main Examination: Shortlisted candidates from the prelims merit line proceed to the competitive main tier based on their post preferences:
    • Joint Main Examination: 400 Marks objective layout for Clerk-Typist, Tax Assistant, Industry Inspector, and Technical Assistant lines.
    • AMVI Main Examination: 300 Marks, objective layout mapping core Mechanical and Automotive Engineering parameters.
  3. Skill / Practical Proficiency Test: Qualifying typing skill test rounds for Clerk-Typist and Tax Assistant slots, alongside physical benchmark tracking validation assessments for the AMVI lines.
