Educational Qualification:

Candidates must satisfy the following academic prerequisites on or before the closing deadline:
Degree Qualification: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, or Doctorate Degree from a recognized University or Institute in any of the following disciplines:
Food Technology / Food Engineering / Food Processing & Preservation / Food Safety & Quality Management
Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Science, or Horticulture
Veterinary Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Chemistry
Medical Qualifications: Degree in Medicine / MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BAMS, or Sowa Rigpa
OR any equivalent qualification recognized by the Food Authority with prior approval of the Central Government.
Language Requirement: Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation (Class 10th) or 10+2 / Higher Education.
Mandatory Training: Selected candidates must complete the training specified by the Food Authority following appointment.

Application Fee:

₹1,000/- for General (Male) / Other Reserved Category Males; ₹250/- for Female applicants and specific reserved categories; Nil for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 42 Years
Permissible Age Relaxations:
SC / BC Candidates: 5 Years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 5 to 10 Years (subject to a maximum age limit of 52 years)
Widowed, Divorced, or Judicially Separated Women / Unmarried Women: 5 Years

Selection Process:

The selection procedure typically follows a multi-tier structure:
Screening Test (OMR-Based): Objective multiple-choice test conducted to shortlist candidates if the volume of applications is substantial.
Subject Knowledge Test (SKT): Descriptive/subject-matter written assessment focusing on domain-specific knowledge and food safety standards.
Interview / Viva-Voce: Evaluation of personal suitability, technical clarity, and administrative aptitude.
Document Verification & Medical Examination: Scrutiny of original academic certificates and pre-joining medical fitness assessment.
