The recruitment drive features a diverse mix of research, administrative, and ground support cadres divided into standard service structural groups:
- Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO) / Equivalent: 67 Posts (Group B)
- Field Assistant / Equivalent: 34 Posts (Group C)
- LDC / Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator: 56 Posts (Group C)
- Fieldman: 16 Posts (Group C)
- Mali: 21 Posts (Group D)
- Peon: 29 Posts (Group D)
- Peon-cum-Chowkidar: 29 Posts (Group D)
- Chowkidar: 19 Posts (Group D)
- Lab Attendant: 11 Posts (Group D)
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational & Professional Qualifications (Post-Wise):
- Assistant Agriculture Officer (AAO): Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agri) or Bachelor of Science in Horticulture (B.Sc. Horti) from a recognized university.
- Field Assistant: Passed Pre-University Science (PU Science) or an equivalent Class 12 (10+2) Science stream qualification from a recognized educational institution.
- LDC / Office Assistant: Graduation in any discipline along with basic computer typing and software operation skills.
- Group D Posts (Mali / Peon / Chowkidar / Attendant): Passed Matriculation (Class 10th) or its equivalent standard from a recognized school board.
- Mandatory Prerequisites:
- Applicants must be permanent residents holding valid regional status certificates.
- Candidates must be sponsored by their respective regional Employment Exchange.
- Candidates must be highly proficient in speaking the designated local regional language or any of the officially notified scheduled tribe dialects.
- Age Limit (As of June 10, 2026):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years (21 years baseline for Assistant Agriculture Officer)
- Maximum Age: 38 Years
- Upper Age Relaxations: Extended by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. A special one-time age relaxation of an additional 2 years above the prescribed limits is also applicable.

Selection Process
- Written Examination:
- Group B (AAO): A multiple-choice combined written test (MCQ format) totaling 100 marks covering General Knowledge (25 Marks), General English (25 Marks), and core General Agriculture/Horticulture subjects (50 Marks).
- Group C & D Posts: A written assessment covering General English, basic arithmetic, and general reasoning matrices. There is no personal interview for Group C or Group D posts.
- Viva Voce / Personal Interview: Applicable exclusively to the Group B Assistant Agriculture Officer position.
- Document Verification & Sponsorship Cross-Checking.
