Bank of India (BOI) has released an official recruitment notification for 205 Specialist Officer posts across Scale I, Scale II, Scale III, and Scale IV. The recruitment covers several specialist streams, including Full-Stack Engineering, Digital Platforms, Information Security, Data Engineering, Law, Fire Safety, Civil Engineering, and other professional areas.

Vacancy Details

A total of 205 Specialist Officer vacancies are available across four management scales:

  • Scale I – Officer: 28 Posts
  • Scale II – Manager: 118 Posts
  • Scale III – Senior Manager: 49 Posts
  • Scale IV – Chief Manager: 10 Posts

The vacancies cover specialist positions in areas such as Full-Stack Engineering, Digital Platforms, Application Support, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Information Security, DevSecOps, Database Administration, IT Procurement, Solution & Technology Architecture, Law, Fire Safety, Security, and Civil Engineering.

Important Dates

Candidates should complete both the application and fee payment within the prescribed dates.

Educational Qualification

  • The educational qualification varies according to the specialist post.
  • Candidates with qualifications such as B.E./B. Tech, B.Sc, MCA, MBA, LLB/LLM and other relevant professional or technical qualifications may be eligible for different posts.
  • The required qualification, professional certification and post-qualification experience differ substantially from one position to another.
  • Applicants should therefore check Annexure-I of the official notification for the exact educational qualification and experience required for their preferred post.

Age Limit

The age limit varies according to the scale and specific post.

Broadly, the age requirements are:

  • Scale I: 21 to 30 years
  • Scale II: 25 to 35 years
  • Scale III: 28 to 37 years
  • Scale IV: 28 to 40 years

Certain specialist posts have different upper-age limits.

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (NCL): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years

Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary according to the applicable management scale.

JMGS-I: ₹48,480 – ₹85,920

MMGS-II: ₹64,820 – ₹93,960

MMGS-III: ₹85,920 – ₹1,05,280

SMGS-IV: ₹1,02,300 – ₹1,20,940

In addition to the basic pay, candidates will receive applicable allowances and other benefits as per Bank of India rules.

Security Deposit

Selected candidates are required to deposit a refundable security amount, which is returnable after completion of three years of satisfactory service, subject to the applicable conditions.

  • JMGS-I: ₹1,00,000
  • MMGS-II: ₹2,00,000
  • MMGS-III and above: ₹3,00,000

Application Fee

SC/ST/PwBD Candidates: ₹175, including GST

General/EWS/OBC Candidates: ₹1,180, including GST

The applicable fee and intimation charges must be paid online during the application period. Bank transaction charges, if any, are to be borne by the candidate.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of an Online Examination and/or Personal Interview, depending on the number of eligible applicants.

Shortlisting for further stages will be based on the documents and qualifications submitted by candidates.

The online examination includes:

  • English Language: 25 marks — qualifying in nature
  • Professional Knowledge: 100 marks

Candidates who meet the required qualifying standards and rank sufficiently high based on Professional Knowledge marks may be called for an interview.

The interview carries a maximum of 100 marks.

Complete the registration by entering the required personal and contact details.

Fill in the application form carefully and upload the prescribed photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.

After checking all details, complete the registration and pay the applicable application fee through the available online payment options.

Candidates should download and retain a copy of the submitted application form and e-receipt for future reference.

Important Note

Candidates can apply for only one post under this recruitment. If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid application will be retained, and fees paid for other applications will be forfeited.
