Vacancies & Remuneration Details

The monthly honorarium is completely fixed based on the department’s standard para-worker policy regulations:

Para Pump Operator: 12 Posts (Fixed Honorarium: ₹6,000/- per month)
Para Fitter: 04 Posts (Fixed Honorarium: ₹6,000/- per month)
Multipurpose Worker (MPW): 16 Posts (Fixed Honorarium: ₹4,400/- per month)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational & Technical Qualifications:
- Para Pump Operator: Must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized school board + hold a valid ITI Trade Certificate in Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, Pump Operator-cum-Mechanic, or Turner from a recognized institution.
- Para Fitter: Must have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized school board + hold a valid ITI Trade Certificate in Fitter or Plumber trades.
- Multipurpose Worker: Must have passed Class 8th (Middle School) or its equivalent from a recognized school system.
Age Limit (As of the application date):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 45 Years
Language/Culture Prerequisite: Candidates must know local customs, manners, and dialects, and be physically fit for field duties.

Selection Process

Document Evaluation & Merit Listing: Initial screening is based on a defined weightage criterion evaluating Class 8th/10th marks, ITI trade consistency, and socio-economic category points (such as BPL, EWS, or landless family declarations). No separate written examination will be held.
Skill / Skill-Efficiency Test: Shortlisted candidates for Pump Operator and Fitter profiles will undergo a practical, hands-on trade test to evaluate operational proficiency.

How to Apply

Draft a formal application layout neatly by hand or typed on plain A4 paper sheet specifying your personal details, age, educational qualifications, permanent address, and the specific postcode you are targeting.
Attach self-attested photocopies of all necessary certificates:
- Class 8th / 10th Marksheets and Passing Certificates.
- ITI Trade Certificate (for Pump Operator & Fitter posts).
- Valid Himachali Bonafide / Domicile Certificate.
- Proof of Age (Matriculation certificate or school leaving certificate).
- SC / ST / OBC / EWS / BPL Category Certificates (if claiming weightage points).
- Experience Certificate in relevant fields (if any).
Affix a recent passport-size colored photograph to the application sheet and sign across the bottom declaration.
Enclose the structured setup inside a sealed cover envelope, clearly writing “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [POST NAME] ON PARA BASIS” across the top space.
Submit the application packet in person or dispatch it via Registered Post / Speed Post so it reaches the Office of the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Division, before the final closing deadline on 23 June 2026 (5:00 PM).
