Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational & Professional Qualifications (Post-Wise):
    • Rural Agricultural Extension Officer (RAEO): Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Agriculture OR Horticulture from a recognized agricultural university.
    • Rural Horticulture Extension Officer (RHEO): Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or Agricultural Engineering.
    • Senior Agricultural Development Officer (SADO): Post-Graduate Degree (M.Sc. Ag.) in Agriculture or Agricultural Engineering from a recognized university.
    • Senior Horticulture Development Officer (SHDO): Post-Graduate Degree (M.Sc. Hort.) in Horticulture from a recognized institution.
    • Mandatory Portal Standard: Valid registration in the State Employment Exchange is required at the time of submission.
  • Age Limit (Evaluated as of January 1, 2026):
    • Minimum Age: 18 Years
    • Maximum Age: 40 Years for General/Unreserved candidates.
    • Upper Age Relaxations: Extended up to 45 years for SC, ST, OBC, Government Employees, and Female applicants matching the state’s administrative reservation guidelines.

  • General / Unreserved Category Candidates: ₹500/-
  • SC / ST / OBC / PwD Candidates (State Domiciles Only): ₹250/-

Selection Process

The screening architecture focuses entirely on technical merit scores obtained in a centralized competitive examination:

  1. Written Examination (CBT – 200 Marks): A computer-based examination carrying a total of 200 marks divided into two primary sections over a 3-hour duration:
    • General Section (100 Marks): General Knowledge, Hindi, English, Mathematics, General Science, Reasoning, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
    • Technical Trade Section (100 Marks): Questions mapping core graduation or post-graduation parameters in Agriculture and Horticulture methodologies.
    • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking rule for unattempted or incorrect answers.
  2. Document Verification: Strict validation of original academic degrees, category certifications, and employment exchange slips based on final merit tier standings.

  1. Keep scanned digital copies of your academic marksheets, your Employment Exchange registration card, a recent passport-size colored photograph (with name and date printed on it), and your signature script accessible.
